In Dallas, the Mavericks snuck past the Lakers 99-96. Ugly basketball, but the Mavericks did just enough. Mavericks' old heads steadied the ship in the swings; Lakers' Run-and-Gun identity dictated the tempo. Mavericks' rotation plan looked deliberate, and the right guys made the most of their roles.
