By using RetroLive (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. The Service is provided free of charge as a hobby project, with no guarantee of uptime, support, or continued availability.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your account

• You’re responsible for keeping your password safe.
• One account per person, please.
• Don’t impersonate other people or use offensive logins. We may suspend accounts that violate this.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise automate use of the Service in a way that degrades performance for others.
• Attempt to break, exploit, or reverse-engineer the Service or its data.
• Use the Service to harass other users, post unlawful content, or distribute malware.
• Resell or commercially redistribute Service data without permission.

Content and intellectual property

• Player names, statistics, team names, and likenesses referenced are public historical NBA data and are used here under fair use for non-commercial, educational/entertainment purposes. RetroLive is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA, any team, or any player.
• The RetroLive code, design, and original simulation engine are © RetroLive’s author. The site is built on open-source software (Ruby on Rails and others) under their respective licenses.

Service changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or shut down the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. Because the Service is free, no refunds apply.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be error-free, always available, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RetroLive and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
