In a track meet, the Timberwolves pulled away from the Mavericks 108-96. The tempo dragged the Mavericks into a rhythm they couldn't survive. Timberwolves' Run-and-Gun identity dictated the tempo; Mavericks' old heads steadied the ship in the swings.
